Go Behind the Scenes!  Volunteer with Our Programs

If you would like to get more involved with the Watersheds Council, consider becoming a regular volunteer with one of our programs!

Watershed Ambassadors

Help us connect with communities throughout our watersheds and beyond, sharing information about watershed health, recent scientific findings, volunteer and education opportunities with the Council, and more. Watershed Ambassadors will represent the Watershed Council at a variety of fun community events throughout the spring and summer! Check out our Watersheds Ambassador page here to learn more.

Kellogg Creek Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Program

Work with students grades 6-12th collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates from a variety of sites along Kellogg Creek! This is a great opportunity for people with an interest in community science, and some weekday availability! Learn more about volunteering with the Kellogg Creek Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Program here.

Kellogg Creek BioBlitz

Volunteer behind the scenes with the Kellogg Creek BioBlitz! The BioBlitz is a large community event focused on connecting people with the natural areas surrounding the Kellogg Creek Restoration and Community Enhancement Project site and documenting the living things there as it changes! This event is held annually in May, and we are always looking for volunteers to help out with set up, lunch preparations and clean up! Find out more about the Kellogg Creek BioBlitz here, or email Peyton at peyton@ncwatersheds.org to get involved this year!
