February 7th, 9:00 am – Noon: Kellogg Creek Stewardship Day

Come volunteer helping to maintain trails and remove invasive species along Kellogg Creek! We will be working in the Milwaukie Presbyterian Church Outdoor Sanctuary on February 7th (and the first Saturday of every month), from 9 am – noon. The Outdoor Sanctuary is a hidden gem natural area just a 5 minute walk from Downtown Milwaukie, and right along the soon-to-be restored Kellogg Impoundment. Join us for a morning of getting our hands dirty, with an opportunity to learn more about the Kellogg Creek Restoration and Community Enhancement Project while we work! Tools, light refreshments and snacks provided.

March 28th, 10:00 – 12:00 PM: Watershed Ambassador Training

Attend our in-person Watershed Ambassador Training on Saturday, March 28th to join our crew of amazing Watershed Ambassadors! Watershed Ambassadors represent the North Clackamas Watersheds Council at a variety of fun community events during the spring and summer, and provide support at Council events such as the Kellogg Creek BioBlitz and our restoration workshops.

This training will include an informational session for volunteers to get up to date on the latest from the North Clackamas Watersheds Council including updates on our current restoration work, community science programs, and advocacy. We will go over the logistics of being a Watersheds Ambassador, like how to sign up for events, picking up tabling materials, and coordinating with other volunteers! The training will be held at our offices in the Milwaukie Presbyterian Church (2416 SE Lake Rd, Milwaukie, OR, 97222) from 10 am – Noon.
